Heat exchangers matched to the water and characteristics of the pools
For waters with a high chloride content (sea water or geothermal water), Barriquand recommends exchangers made of titanium, and exchangers made of 316 stainless steel for water treated with chlorine or ozone (with or without UV treatment).
Depending on the size and characteristics of the pool (depth, evaporation surface area, rate of renewal, etc.), Barriquand determines the design case applicable to your exchanger (temperature rise or temperature hold).
Recovery of heat from greywater
Heat can be recovered from greywater to preheat “utility” water (boiler return, shower supply water, etc.). These waters, which contain particulate matter and flow by gravity, require suitable heat exchanger technology and dimensioning (twin-tube).
Municipal authorities and aquatic facilities achieve substantial energy savings and the greywater is discharged at a temperature compliant with the regulations in force.
